An urban solution was to be found for the quarter around the central railway station in Salzburg, Austria.
Therefore members of the city planning council, property owners, and architects got together and elaborated fundamental visions and concepts for the ongoing project development.

In this context Architect Robert Wimmer has developed a project which is situated on the site of an old bakery on Fanny-von-Lehnert-Straße 6-8. His aim for the triangular shaped estate was to design a project with high quality as well as high density housing.

In accordance with the neighbourhood the podium zone is designed as a perimeter block development. Then, lifted from the ground, an 11-floor apartment house seems to rise above the podium, floatingly almost.
One of the characteristics of this apartment tower is the layout of an „airy floor“ between the 3rd and 4th floor, which is designed as a public space providing a playground, chilling and seating facilities as well as green areas.

The balconies, rotating around the tower, are twisted out of the axis a little bit, kind of like a rotary disk, which underlines the importance of this quarter as an urban hub.
